A Pedigree with arms. This is possibly from the Wotton Collection is the same as Harley MS 902. References herein too to Robert Woodford. This relates to Ralph Woodford of Ashby Folville and to his grandfather, Sir Robert Woodford.

This being the Masonic author and descendant of the Carleby family.

WOODFORDE. Dr Samuel, Translations of some of his Poems. 17^th century. Indexing Dr Samuel Woodforde with the previous two Woodford family members is an error. The family relationship is very distant.

A bound copy of Burke’s `Landed Gentry’ (1838, Vol IV, bought 1963) with handwritten illuminated genealogy bound to the front, and an extract from `The Kings of Englands and their Descendants’ bound to the back, the latter indicating a line of descent from John of Gaunt to Revd A J Woodforde. (Ms eng misc D 600)

I have looked briefly at this pedigree. It provides a link between the Leicestershire and Northamptonshire families, but is erroneous. The generations later than Robert, son of Ralph Woodford of Ashby Folville are incorrect. However, a further detailed analysis could offer clues to the correct descent.
