James Woodforde MD
His eldest son was James Woodforde who died in the East Indies on 1 September 1838, aged thirty five years. His daughter was Julia Woodforde (7 June 1896 - 7 October 1819). Jane Woodforde Daughter of Francis Woodforde and his wife Jane. Died 19 January 1800, aged 19 years. Helen Maud Woodforde Marrried Henry Whalley Woodforde, and adopted a niece, Rose Isabel Marian Woodforde, who married L.Col. John Prescott-Law.

Thierry Potard and Catherine Potard of
Passavent, La Rochere, France, twin grandchildren of Joyce
Woodforde.youngest child of Francis Cardew and Annie,
who married Maurice Potard of Passavent, and had son Robert, father of
these twins. After the war he enrolled in Wells Theological College and was ordained in 1949. His ecclesiastical career was based entirely in England, and he was made Honorary Canon of Winchester Cathedral in 1975 until his partial retirement in 1980. He died in 1983.
The Altar Window This window erected in memory of their parents and grandparents by E and M Woodforde (Eliza and Mary Jane) and J.Lockyer (nee Julia Woodforde) the daughters of Thomas and Mary Woodforde, and his son Thomas, rector of Ansford, died 1836 aged 56 and Mary his wife, died 1856, aged 75. |
